Park Inn Hotel – Bucharest, Romania
Designed while working at Architectura Group Miami - Ioana Chinan

Located in the historic center of Bucharest and surrounded by interwar modernist apartment blocks, this Park Inn Hotel was conceived to integrate contemporary hospitality within the city’s distinctive urban fabric. Commissioned by the Rezidor Hotel Group as part of its Eastern European expansion, the project included 66 guest rooms, a penthouse suite with panoramic views, an all-day street-level café, and an underground garage designed to preserve valuable surface area.
The design combined functional efficiency with sensitivity to context, creating a hotel experience suited to modern urban travelers. The café served as both a social anchor and a welcoming transition between the public realm and the private interior, while the building’s organization optimized circulation, comfort, and natural light.
As a member of the Architectura Group Miami design team, Ioana Chinan conducted a detailed reanalysis of guest room and bathroom layouts to improve spatial efficiency and user comfort. She contributed to the conceptual design of key public areas — including the reception, bar, lounge, and both interior and exterior café spaces — developing interior proposals that met Park Inn brand standards while enhancing the aesthetic and experiential quality of the hotel.
